Chess schools and academies in Riga 4

Chess teaching in Riga is led by schools that also run tournaments. Rīgas Šaha skola, on Pērnavas iela 10, says it has run a chess programme for young people for fifty years and has more than 500 pupils and 18 coaches; it holds classification tournaments in its own rooms and summer camps at Mežezers. Kaissa presents itself as a chess school, gives its junior cup venue as Vaidavas iela 6 and runs rapid and junior tournaments through the season.

Chesston teaches children from five years old online in small groups, prints its monthly and individual fees on its site and runs a day camp in October at Rīgas 13. vidusskola. N.Kovšuna šaha studija is known from two tournaments of 2025, one for beginners in Riga and a classification event in Jūrmala; no class address was found. Where a page names ages, fees or a trial lesson, the card shows it; timetables follow the school year, so the school itself has the current one.
